- Weekly charters run from 11:00 AM Saturday to 5:00 PM Friday. Daily charters run from
9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Inflatable dinghy is included with the charter; if you want an outboard motor it is available
for $10.00 per day.
- A reservation deposit equal to 20% of the charter fee is due in order to reserve specific dates.
Full payment of the balance is due 21 days prior to charter date. Please pay by check or money order. Charters which are
cancelled more than 3 weeks before charter date will receive a full refund. Charters which are cancelled within 3 weeks of
charter date will not be refunded their original 20% reservation deposit unless another charter is found for the same period.

Your reservation will be held for 7 days, depending on the receipt of your deposit. - The
charterer is required to leave a security deposit of $400.00. Cash, money orders, or checks are accepted security deposits
and will be refunded within two (2) weeks of the termination of your charter pending a satisfactory check-in of the yacht
and less any incurred running expenses.
- Weekly boat charters come with a full tank of gas and an empty holding tank.
We request that you top off the fuel tank and empty the holding tank before you return the boat. The fees for these services
if performed by Sweetwater Yacht Charters is $75 for fuel and $75 for holding tank pumpout, which will be taken out of your
security deposit.
- Pets are strictly prohibited. Also, smoking is not permitted.
- Please be aware that Michigan
has a very strict drinking while boating policy. For your own safety (and the safety of your wallet!) we advise you to indulge
in alchoholic beverages only after you are anchored for the night or in a slip for the night.
- Your acceptance as a
charterer is based primarily upon your application form. However, Sweetwater Yacht Charters, LLC reserves the right to make
a final evaluation of your competency at the time of the precharter check-in. If you are deemed to be incapable of handling
the boat, you may opt to have a "refresher" sail course with an employee, at the cost of $100.00 which can be taken from your
security deposit. You may also opt to live on board the boat stationary at the dock, and enjoy all of the amenities of the
marina. There will be no refunds to you if you are deemed to be incapable of handling the boat. Please be honest on the application
form!
